Thread regarding Sears layoffs

@1tpw: the Op was reminiscing about the old Sears, the Glory days as he called them. Sears will not resurrect and become those old stores. The seritage stores will be reconstituted, sure, but they don't belong to Shld anymore, they were spun off. And, they are coming back as smaller stores and not paying any higher wages like the Op fantasized about. The Sears name has been so trashed by Eddie that I cannot believe he can fix it's reputation. Their demographic of older people is shrinking daily and one day they will be a distant memory.

The Pop news are fake.

First we don't know if this meeting will really take place.Then we don't know who will be there and what will be discussed.Finally we don't know if there will be a deal.Lampert is not in a strong position to negociate a good deal right now for shareholders or employees, nobody would want to invest in a dying retailer that has no competitive advantage over Amazon.

Eddie invest in stores. Not gonna happen. He's a hedge fund leech. S--- everything dry until u get to the last penny. Even close profitable stores to sell the real estate. He's got it all figured out.

Oh they'll be reconstituted....just as apartment buildings and parking lots.

The Op is delusional. Sears stores will never be reconstituted in any manner. Don't you understand what is going on with retail? There will be no raises, no influx of cash for any type of remodels, and no "kindles" for transacting business (you probably mean the I pads which we in appliances found slow and cumbersome to work with. You need to get your head out of your orifice and explore a reality check.

Billionaires are not going to Sears Headquarters. If Eddie needs them he will go crawling to their offices. None of these guys will be caught dead there . they conduct big business privately. I call out fake Popcorn BS on this
