Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

"Operation Clean Sweep" slated to begin after openworld

High level management is abandoning ship. They are leaving based on executive direction known as "clean sweep." The pivot to the cloud has stalled, consumption of cloud credits is not happening. Expect big changes in management over the next few weeks. Resulting change is huge.

As former management bounces they speak of a line in the sand. Employees with over a 6 figure base salary are going to be a thing of the past. Massive cuts coming in sales, support, services and development. Bare metal cloud is clearing out as they see what is coming.

Netsuite and the self driving cloud and database through machine learning is the new direction. Everything else is going away. Much of the current oracle apps are seen as to difficult to make cloud enabled. Everything is going to be simplified and many old apps and products will be shelved.

Sales team and enterprise cloud architects blamed for lack of cloud credit consumption. Older generation seen as not able to embrace change. House cleaning is coming. It all starts the week after open world. Watch as member in high level management simply vanish over the next few weeks, then watch employees under them do the same. Changes begin week of October 9th.

The changes will be so profound the market will forget about the lack of cloud growth in Q2. Oracle is about to change in a big way.

If they can't deliver cloud growth in Q2, they can always deliver heads to Wall Street. The market loves layoffs.

I'll believe it when I see it. If anything changes, it will be the wrong people. All the psychos and narcissists will still be standing afterwards.

There’s more to this than simply sweeping out sales and execs.

Mid Market, SMB are all net suite going forward

Enterprise is going to get thinned out. The key accounts will be the focus and where investment will remain.

The clean sweep may occur in some fashion, but not as posted here.

Things are not ready yet for full change / shift to a college grad & off shore based sales force and cloud ops. Eventually maybe, but no where near ready now or this year.

Not saying this "clean sweep" is for real, but really, what kind of proof could possibly be posted here? This is a rumor website. That said, the layoff rumors posted here have been spot on.

Seattle should be safe along with the open source products and the acquisitions not integrated into the existing corrupted sales and support structures.

Hoping that LE, MH, and SC get swept into the dustbin history.

Awesome, if CXOs realized that the management chains and the connected ICs without any accomplishments need to be cut to the bone, Oracle could avoid becoming IBM.
