So why are the AS-F fixed price ones so stinking expensive and long? Outside contractor is over a year into doing a 120 ISE deploy because they can't attend a dang meeting.
"50 hours of billing for requirements gathering"
30 hours of figuring out just how much * they were oversold by sales will actually do the job. 5 hours meeting with the customer, dancing around the topic of how badly ed they are by their sales team. 5 hours explaining basic networking to the sales guys. 5 hours of fighting the BU teams about the same. 3 hours to explaining to all the useless account and services management how ***ed up the sales guys have made things because they "had to hit their number no matter what, because Bob needs to pay off the mortgage on his 2nd house". 2 hours writing a document that looks like it took 35 hours to write, by padding it with copy-paste from cisco.com
Nothing but net! High margin, big baller, make u holler offers with AS saving the day, yo.
Joe C is not a leader - he gets pushed around by the large number of VP's and directors under him. His team recently promoted someone to director who won't take calls outside her timezone and never finished college.
Joe C like revenue transfer model to AS from product goes on forever to help pump up margin contributions. As product attached keep declining, AS will get more exposed.
Services can't keep up with demand for two reasons. 1.) they are so slow - 50 hours of billing for requirements gathering is an example. 2.) most big services projects are given to the costumer for free and AS is paid from product revenue transfer. Smoke and mirrors stuff that will eventually get Cisco and SEC audit from hell.
Future? lol. wonder who is going to fix/troubleshoot script kiddies postman/pyhtoning configuration errors due to lack of proper unerstanding of the underlying network, its going to be fun.
very few people know about Secure Fabric. Don't know how many customer adapted that but few chosen folks get the promo and others left. Same people are riding on DNA horse for next level. The days are not very far when the reporting structure will be SVP->SVP->SVP->SVP.
In Services, we can't keep up with demand. Our customers find the framework revolutionary.
Don’t you know DNA and SDA is the next iPhone.
Way behind in delivery. Lacking many feature.
