Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

More "fake" news!

From: https://www.wsj.com/articles/oracle-chairman-larry-ellison-takes-aim-at-amazon-1506916787

Last year LJE said Amazon's dominance in IAAS was over, well the numbers are in.

Amazon went from 39.8% to 44.2%

Microsoft went from 5.8% to 7.1%

Oracle went from 0.1% to 0.3%

Oracle barely registers - that number could easily be statistical noise or within the margin of error.

Gartner says “It hasn’t seen the market traction compared to the other market leaders.”

A ship of fools.

"Oracle went from 0.1% to 0.3%"

Wow, I had no idea oracle's slice of the pie was this small. I can't believe I was actually wasting my time working on this. So glad I quit.

Let it burn to the ground. The unfortunate part is that the demons who are destroying it will get paid well while everyone else suffers.

I'm sure Oracle marketing is already working on their press release -- "Oracle Cloud is growing at 300%!" They will also likely note that AWS only grew by 11%, that Oracle is gaining ground, is the only place to offer the autonomous database and is on pace to become a dominant player in Cloud.

To quote an immortal poster from the "Oracle's New Motto" thread back around the 9.1.17 layoff:

"Oracle Cloud...Who Farted?"
