Good luck to everyone. This is a very stressful time. The only reason nurses are able to get a job quickly is because there is a shortage. I have been a nurse for over 30 years and have enjoyed every minute of my career. I do make the same amount For the past 27 years ago. That is a little disappointing

THere are some squeaky wheels on here, but I believe that most of us don’t carry animosity for other roles.

No reason to.

Why do some people dislike that nurses are paid well? We worked very hard in school, and all of us had to several years of direct patient care before HUMANA would look at us. We DO have a right to be worried about losing our jobs, just the same as anyone else. My goodness, let’s support each other!

I don’t understand all this bashing of others lately. I know everyone is stressed but this is unnecessary and unkind.

Wow. The post bashing nurses angered me initially, but rather than defending myself and why I became a nurse to someone who doesn't get it, I'll just say that I hope you show more support for your coworkers than what was displayed here. I value everyone I work with, learning so much from various departments and roles over the last few years. Everytime there have been layoffs, my heart has been broken for ALL involved, and I am just so sorry that everyone is feeling the way that they do right now because it is hell, plain and simple. No one deserves to feel this gut-wrenching uncertainty, even someone who clearly has an axe to grind with those in my profession.

I'm confused, this thread was for coach 22 or coach 100, why the tirade?

Are you kidding me? Not everyone will find a job right away. We have a right to be about upset about losing our positions. Sorry to tell you that this position pays more than a nursing job at a hospital for most of us. You obviously know nothing. You have a back up plan too- McDonalds is always hiring. But they like friendly non judgey people so probably a strong no for you. You don't know others situation and just is crap to judge. It doesn't feel so nice@Q075, does it?

OP is just asked by for information. Why does every post have to get hijacked and turned into a fight between different roles? What’s the point of that?

Really tired of hearing RNs complain about getting laid off. You can have a job within a week making 30 plus dollars an hour. I know having a sit down work from home job is easier than anything else but please stop complaining. Us other employees don't have that option. I would love to have a fall back plan of working in a hospital or home health making just as much as Humana pays. If the true reason some of you became nurses was to help patients then you can do that in several capacities outside of Humana. The truth is a majority of nursing professionals pick the profession for the pay. You are or helping anyone with care plans at Humana, just making money for Humana while being paid a very good amount to do something that is a lot easier than direct patient care.
