Not enough EEI and Yield - Plymouth is being shut down by July 2018. All the great things they did are irrelevant if big money at 35% profit does not flow.

Plymouth had always been a PITA to work with. Totally correct to shut down out of date foundry and all the products based on their chips. Move on.
They were planning to move some Aero folks from Golden Valley to Plymouth this fall. That was the plan this summer.
I have no confirmation, but I did sat on a meeting with higher levels earlier this year to discuss a strategy to save Plymouth. In short, they need more long term business - looks like that is not materializing.
It all come down to revenue and profit margins. An utter failure of the ALT.
