Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

IMHO: Humana Executives are failing

In my humble opinion, our executives are failing; anytime you're laying off 500 people you have failed at your job. There is no consequence but those of us who rock at our job and love our members, we pay the price of his failure.

At least I'll never have to sit through another one of those horrible all associate meetings. They put 12 geniuses in a room and none of them have any idea how audio works. Then MF does introductions which look more like ransom videos. I really expect everyone to face the camera and say "I'm OK, they are treating me well."

Then we have the pleasure of listening to this doofus mumble and stumble through a bunch of words that add up to nothing. If we're lucky, we at least get middle school power points to look at while he stumbles over his words like a newborn deer trying to walk. And lastly, we have the pleasure of QA in which MF turns any question into a way to spin his overblown hot air so that he can pound us some more. I really think I lose a little of my soul every time.

Here MF, let me save you some time. You can cancel the next 10 associate meetings by just saying "we cant/won't tell you anything, you're not doing enough, work harder!" See how easy that was!

I couldn’t agree more w/ most of you! MF is a pathetic excuse for an executive! He’s so condescending and never has anything positive to say! Whoever said “bitter much” is just an a--hole! Sure you’re allowed your opinion but why??? Go kiss more a-- wherever you’re working - you’re probably still working at Humana. I was RIF’d in November and did enjoy zero work during the Holidays all while being paid :) and what a relief after all the unnecessary pressure and stress. I keep telling my friends to get their resumes in order because it is inevitable! I hope those of you that were RIF’d all the success in the world and God Bless!!!

@Q0Tf5Vi-13hos You are bitter and I would encourage you to re-check your facts because alot of minorities were let go in HAH and I know what program that you are secretly referencing. If you are going to site facts be sure that they are factual and not based on your own bitter bias. As many non-minorites were shifted around to stay... Tell the truth and dont spread lies especially for those of us that were impacted.

@Q0Tf5Vi-13qvl You are in denial about how it all went down.. perhaps you are ones that is "smelling" yourself now because you werent impacted and you troll this site with negativity. We all know that the lay offs werent fair.. You know that in your heart. Be careful not to ride to high on that horse.... Karma is coming.....

I completely agree! The HAH program when I was hired was suppose to be the best area to work for with Humana, it was the department your job should have remained secured if it had been ran as it should be run. What a complete joke, Humana keeps all of the so called "yes" top leaders who are not the meat of the program, they are not the ones forming relationships with members and constantly trying to help the members stay with Humana but yet they all kept their jobs and if they didn't they were given another job. That is correct "given" another job within Humana while all the worker bees try to obtain another job within or outside Humana. Just let me say this, I found it to be discriminating that one employee was told they were part of the workforce reduction and then the next day they all said it to be a mistake; no fault to this employee but did color play a part in that? I'm glad the employee kept their job but it doesn't make it fair to the rest of us? Also the fact I am not a minority or my s-xual orientation is straight did this keep me from being "given" another role as some of the minority and g-- were "given" other jobs within Humana??? I will say in no way were the chosen ones based on performance as I am certain I would still be employed because there were plenty of HAH associates who performed poorly and kept their jobs and of the ones I know, yes they are minorities. So nothing against any minority or anyone with a different s-xual orientation because I love everyone, I am just trying to point out that Humana certainly didn't use a fair process of elimination!!! And yes I am very very bitter!!!

Love the "random video"! I'm still laughing. I am really laughing at all of it, because it's not worth getting upset about what we have no power over. I am in the same situation with the rest, not knowing my future. I hope it's all over very soon.

Agree, -inb, that the false reassurances of job security this year were unnecessary.

Yes, frankly, I am bitter and rightly so. Three layoffs already this year and a fourth one looming. Constant false reassurances about job security in the HAH program. Visible irritation toward associates who dare to ask uncomfortable questions of leadership about the future of certain positions in HAH. And vague, rambling, non-answers (worthy of many political debates) to direct questions asked during meetings. Bitter. Fed up. Righteously indignant. Whatever you want to call it, dear, but it's valid.

Agreed. Thank goodness MF has moved to another role so his smug face won't be presiding over those telephonic HAH town hall meetings anymore. Didn't you get that email the other week?

Well said, true the incompetence of this group of so call executives, this is a sign of a big failure and nothing to do with the hard working class that keeps Humana afloat. You can tell what kind of executive MF is when he explains in a meeting that all he wants is to get even with United Health Care because they have been more successful and doing better. He really is a sad and very patetitic individual, I wonder what Humana was thinking when they promote him.
