Fowler Q4 All hands - Digital Technology layoffs coming in Q4

Fowler acknowledged based on an anonymous question during his Q4 all hands this morning that layoffs are coming across DT. Some areas will get hit harder than others... what are others hearing?

For those of you who understand what this means to keep throwing good money after bad with Predix, the same horrendous decisions are being made on Power technology future directions with regards to the HA turbine. They're cutting the things that could help them continue to operate and bring in revenue, all in the hope of some miracle HA product. This is bad, very, very bad, and it spans cross functionally more than you can even imagine.

Predix should be outsourced not traditional IT lol Amazing they blew through $2-3 billion dollars on Predix and there really isn't anything to show...so let's cut traditonal IT

the hits will be more to what used to be called IT or what supports GE. look for them to keep a lot in Digital to support the soon to fail Predix and other customer offerings
