Take a cue from your senior leadership who we all have seen "bounce" themselves...in droves. If the higher-ups are leaving, you know there's no future.
If you live near a Comcast store, look on their career website and check it out. The benefits are actually better than VZW (same 401k match, FREE cable/internet, etc.).
Actually, nope. I'm heading to Comcast later this month and not only will I be making more, I'm getting a promotion to a management role.
Comcast is hungry for VZW folks (good ones, at least) who can sell VZW...which is what XM (Xfinity Mobile) is.
If you're trying to get over there, reach out to the (many, many) people that have already left for there. Ask to see what they're making as well as what their experience is.
I think in most cases (if not all) you're going to hear glowing things about them. Plus...c'mon...discounted Universal Theme Park tickets? :-) The benefits are pretty dang epic.

I was laid off from VZW after 14 years and was lucky enough to get hired by Comcast. The HEAVILY discounted cable/internet/phone/security system is a great perk. The leadership sets their employees up for promotions, it's just a matter of the employees doing well at their jobs and being on time to work. They even encourage and support moving throughout other departments.
