Anyone hear anything for the NOC thats reliable? Been hearing rumors either 11/2 or 11/16 but nothing else.

Any actual employees on this site can easily search eweb for the severance package for your part of the business. Its there to review at anytime. Last updated for wireline in June, standard package, no changes unless you're a former XO employee.

Severance is the company standard , 2 weeks per years of service maximum 35 weeks, medical to match your severance weeks, STI,et, etc. All to be paid in 2018.
Notification is 11/16 and o ff books 12/30 (Saturday)

No rumor, Fact. There is a 10% RIF for Russo org. Notification will be on 11/16 with "Off the Books" on 12/30.

No, but RIFs in the NOC team would not surprise me. Vz executives toured the Facebook HQ campus a while back and noticed that they only staff a handful of Techs per shift to monitor their network. Of course Vz executives now think that 1 or 2 NOC Techs should be able to surveil the entire wireless network at any given time. For the record Facebook network topography is nowhere near as complex as the Vz wireless network....Vz leadership has become totally myopic in their quest for saving a dollar. The drive towards automation and callout reductions happening in ‘17 are the beginning of their plan. If I worked in the NOC I would organize.
