This site is like the store I manage. Full of whiners, crybabies, and losers. Lee Iacocca had a saying “lead, follow,or get out of the way” the latter is what you people should do. Please leave or resign ASAP, no two week notice needed. We don’t have time to babysit nonstarters who run around wasting time and spread negativity. Get off your butt and make a difference sometime.

The best comment I have seen all month was " I am sorry I don't have your part in stock, but would you like a project pack or a snickers?"............ 100% true. I have been with this company for 6 years and have been one of the biggest cheeleaders for this train wreck but time and time again they have showed us that the upper management has no clue what they are doing. Just hope that when the buyout happens my shares of stock ( I acquired that at $175 a share) goes up. I love my store, my customers and my team but I HATE this company.
After the commercial ramp up.... I was told countless times additions and adjustments to inventory would be made, pricing would be adjusted, additional driver hours would be included.. now go sell it.. And I did. Then I never saw the promised changes that I was selling to my customers. Now I'm on the other side as a commercial customers of AAP. And I see the same problems continue that my superiors didn't want to hear... when I mentioned them I was complaining. Those problems was pricing, inventory and slow delivery times. They always turned it around. Outs and lost sales was being logged, so I did what I could in my box for inventory, commercial pricing levels was set according to guidelines, and the CAM was notified of issues. I was also using the company routing and EDB. But that didn't work good when your second driver didn't come in until 9 or 930 and your morning driver left around 3 or 4. Plus you had lunches in the middle.. and most days it was one
person up front. We would have10 to 15 deliveries before 930 AM. I also did my 10 by 10s and also did Saturday calls and composed an email to my DM every Saturday with a synopsis of the calls. We also had HUB runs.. the second HUB run was useless to me... our second run hit about 4.... remember I was down to 1 driver at that point. I saw so many opportunities to fix things. It's a shame.
Sorry, I don't have anything you wanted in stock. Would you like a project pack and a snickers instead?
Your store is a loser! Bac customer service, dump the stock!
Exactly as stated in the last reply! That’s why Advance Auto has no standing in the commercial market.
They have made promises of top notch service, professional level staffing, fast delivery, on the shelf inventory, professional fully staffed commercial counter and delivery service, only two follow up with rotten eggs !
The damage is done and can’t be repaired. That is the difference between NAPA and AAP , NAPA just delivers top notch commercial service every day without all the hype and promises and AAP has all the hype and promises and no beef!
AAP has a well known reputation for promising the best and delivering the worst!
No time for all this BS! Have a business to run without the circus!
Please do not send in any more clowns!!!
Having a positive attitude doesn't magically stock the part on the shelf or in pdq, just saying. Still gonna lose the sale, s---er.
By the way, the culture of the organization, and the store is a reflection of the LEADERS. If your store is full of whiners and losers, look in the mirror for the reason.
Except that many of these comments appear to be made by talented people who were "wired to win" because they were highly paid.
This is typical of the poor leadership at the store level, and is not much different in behavior for the district or regional managers. And people wonder why this company is having problems. Good fish ain't cheap, and cheap fish ain't good, simple.
OP is the kind of person who would tell a person dying of cancer to stop being so negative.
Reality doesn't even enter the equation for some folks, who prefer their pretty little delusional lies to dealing with truth.
...said the dummies who still work for AAP.
Since closing the CARQUEST store where I was working and moving us in an Advance store, out of 12 employees there is only 4 of us left. We've lost half of our commercial accounts especially the fleet and heavy duty to which Advance has nothing to supply these customers. So the whiners should be the management team at Advance for losing all this business due to lack of products. They go out and assure the customers nothing is going to change. What a bunch of lying Cams and Dm's this company has along with our upper money grubbing leader's. I don't see any of them having their pay cut.
