I just wanted to thank you. Letting us know ahead of time has helped to prepare at least me for this. I know that you took a big chance with your job letting us know. I hope that neither of you were impacted but even if you were not I agree with everyone that it is best to start getting resumes and references set up. Thank you for doing the right and courageous thing of keeping everyone informed

Yes, thank you coach 22 and 100. Because of you I was able to mentally prepare for this even though I did cry I feel like it hurt less then it could've hurt. Now to get myself through the next 2 months will be he biggest challenge.

The 3 posts below me: Im not yet impacted but planning as if. I want to hold out and see what happens. Like you said “vzb “ I too have had 3 out of 4 amazing supervisors including my current one. Honestly I’m staying because of her and just taking my chances while I get my resume etc in order. Stay well everyone. We have to prop each other up with kindness.
My wife always says these things - jobs that end - just build up your resume for the next job. I’m reminding myself of that.
I don’t think anyone would bash you for sharing your take on it. Everyone has had a different experience and much of it depends on direct supervisors.
I know I'll get bashed here, but Ive had wonderful bosses, I've had a wonderful WAH job for 8 years, I have a better 401K than I did with all my previous employers combined. Yes, it's sad it's over for me, I'm out too. But better than to have had it , prospered and lost it, than never had it at all. For me, it's been a good run.
Going to the news won't help, it's been all over the news for two months about the layoffs and early retirement...check Bloomberg, Louisville news, etc. humana has dealt with this as fairly as possible, 60 day notice, severance, it's by the book, it s---s, but not news
Not sure what calling the news will accomplish. It won’t change things. Humana will have a prepared statement. No one is ever guaranteed a job for life and every minute you spend being angry is a minute someone else is looking for their next role and will beat you to it.
I'm greatful for severance. I have never received that before
@Q3SgbIv-tsj I understand your anger but in corporate terms this is not being treated poorly. Just look around at the rest of the Layoff site and see how some others are treated. I don't like the way this has been done but as far as big companies go, this was gentle.
