Remove Layer 1 - All Directors, All Senior Managers, Super techies.

Remove Layer 2 - All Senior Principal Engineers, Some Managers, Some so called Principal Engineers.

There would NOT be any impact in terms of productivity. I am sure all BDC real performer would agree.

Will there be an impact if the senior folks in BDC storage are laid off. The answer is a no-brainer. the senior people in bdc storage are a worthless bunch with no technical expertise. it will be a positive impact on the engineers and site if these folks are laid off.

I second that the super techies have very very poor understanding. I spoke to them while back as I was grappling with a vmware esxi problem. My manager suggested I should get help from these two great men. The meeting I had was hilarious to say the least. Beating around the bush and rephrasing my questions again and again and evading any answer. Not even acknowledging things they don't know and have no clue but still maintain that they are somehow great. I did enough homework before approaching them and knew more about issue. But still I am made to feel lowly. These hypocrites are supposed to be senior architects.

I am not at all surprised at the headcount stuff as that is the only thing they know. That is what this so called senior techie was doing in wipro.in EMC he continued same as manager. The other guy is still worse. He knows nothing and still maintaining aura of some super techie.

They don't layoff engineers in low cost countries as there is not much financial savings. One suggestion to Hopkinton management. Layoff the top layer in BDC storage as they are utterly useless and there will be no impact to project work. They are also big time money guzzlers and you can save a lot of money even if converted to dollar value.

@BDC, If you are a manager, it is most likely that you will be dumb (because recruited by dumb directors) and you are bound to get less tell-dell score by default which in turn is boon for you. After getting less tell-dell score, these cronies will form a group, threaten and harass team member to give better tell-dell score next time so that it can be shown as drastic improvement and befool hr to manage promotion for these dumbs.

Super techies are not techies.. in equallogic release there is ask for two minor features the have messed it up so bad that now they have backed off this feature they committed.. the equallogic engineering team is a junk team which can't fix minor bugs on a stable codline.. the techies including super techies have no clue.. the senior super techie spends most of his time in figuring how to escape and do messaging for that they mess up. The equallogic firmware director is an utterly useless guy whiling away time in office till his retirement getting easy money..

Hahaha Banana Republic is an apt description. The famous or rather infamous director used to brag to all engineers that getting SC compellent ownership is a phone call away for him and he was avoiding it as it was crap work and super techies being super techies cannot do such crap work. But now we also super techies can't even do or help in minor features in equallogic without breaking other code. Basically their incompetence is openly visible for all to see. By ownership super duper laid off director used to openly tell about layoff in MDC and hire in BDC under him. He also showed a lot of us this preso in confidence where they put headcount numbers to be hired in bdc on architecture diagram of compellent. With the new management around I dunno where the super duper techies and directors stance is. I am sure they are not sticking on to their old ideas at least not openly as they will meet the same fate as their idiotic foolhardy leader.

I worked in BDC storage for two years. Thank goodness I am out of this sheitehole and in a good professional organization since last year. My experience of bdc storage was that it is like a Banana Republic run by a psychopathic dictator and his sycophant mentally deranged directors and equally deviant super techies. The irony is these people act like law onto themselves and believe that they impervious to any action. That too without any technical skills. They fight with every other teams and manipulate HR. I came to know that the arshgohole of director was laid off because he and the super techies prepared presentation by putting headcount numbers on a SC architecture diagram and urging the VP of MRES to layoff all the SC team in MDC. These bunch of ignoramuses who haven't been able to deliver even small projects have temerity to suggest such an audacious plan. That ridicoulous presentation became a laughing point among senior management and SC leadership and they unceremoniously kicked out the director.But there are other equally culpable directors techies still in organization. The question to top management is should they wait for something drastic exposure like the stupid presentations or should they not take action against these useless conman who are running this Banana Republic organization called BDC storage.

I agree please do not compare the movie character Munnabhai with these frauds. Munnbhai is a comical character who shows a great degree of humanism. These people in BDC storage are just opposite. They are unethical bullies and political people with recorded abusive HR cases. The culture that is fostered by these people is one of abuse and bullying. as part of the cyclone migration dev team i can equivocally say that this project is a fraud project with no head and tail of things. we are enjoying the scope change which is happening often. that is how we escape the axe.

It is high time to raise our voice against their illegal and unethical activities. These Conmen got laid off from NetApp purely on the basis of their performance. The bald director got promoted for doing PHD in "How to play video games on mobile" in meetings thinking no one knows and sitting on chair by throwing his legs on table. These idiots are not even worth of a penny. Don't know why Dell is tolerating such conmen. These jerks only manipulate whether it is project execution or tell-dell score or promotions or awards. it is not your job to care if another company has a lazy hiring process based on recommendations alone. The important thing is saving yourself really - by leaving, internal transfer is plan B given low salary bump and chances of ending up under another a manager not within your ex manager‘s influence is very low. We are operating on a network basis. If you are not in the gang, best chance is to leave.

Is there a way to reach out to hiring managers where the laid off useless director and his sycophants are trying. I am mentioning this because we can help the future victims of these conmen gang. The first layer of conmen gang include laid off useless director, two super techies, PhD in video game director and bald useless program manager. These people like hyenas go into companies and usurp all benefits s--- the place dry and scoot when they get caught or laid off. They have done it in Netapp earlier and now in Dell EMC. The laid off useless director is known to create fake resume profiles with hyperbolic mention of his non existent achievements. He also cons unsuspecting senior people in industry to give recommendations. It is important that we should spread word in known circles about these people as it will save lot of suffering for many people and also benefit the companies into making bad hires.

However there is hope as political equations have changed with new MDC management. you can reach out to them as they are pretty much aware of the machinations n this site. The super techies were supreme dictators in the previous regime of the useless director who was laid off. Now the super techies are working with laid off useless director to land a job in Oracle, Microsoft or Amazon. They might not be around by the time of performance appraisal.

It is clear Hopkinton cyclone management can be easily hoodwinked. BDC storage team has proved it in the cyclone migration project. There is no underlying working code in the project even after almost one year. The worker bee engineers know it so well. We have written disjointed junk code. The two super techies who are only good in politicking have no clue on what to tell or give directions to the engineers. The team has also realized the incompetence of these super PowerPoint techies. They have become object of fun and ridicule among engineers although not in open meetings as they control our performance appraisal. Most of our daily stand up meetings the discussion points are these two jokers and the SPOs. we are supposedly doing a project in Agile scrum and we are nowhere near workable software even after some twenty plus sprints. What a joke of a project we work in. Hiding under the covers of external dependencies. We are all hoping that Jeff Clarke thrashes down the mothership cyclone project so that we can move to compellent work. Some of us are trying for job outside but not getting through as our technical skills have become eroded working with bad engineering team. Even one of the super techie got rejected in job interview in a competator storage company. They didn't buy his bulls hit as he is only good in politicking and PowerPoint.

Why is it such a big deal. We at NDC Nashua created BDC. Every bad practice is a direct reflection of what we thought them.

For years NDC is working on fake projects, taking ownership from MDC and not doing a thing. Past one year we made a fool of Hop and Round Rock.

At NDC we are all employed and having a time of our lives, if upper management is dumb and s---s that’s not our problem.

There is party mood in BDC as fake project has been extended by 6 months. Top leadership gloating self praises on how they fooled MDC and HOP. VIPs get to stay in the house for some more time. They have a nice strategy to fool the upper management and keep QA happy. QA is more than happy to give GREEN status even without testing.
