The admins should pay some attention and delete these hate mongering threads. This is in no way related to layoffs at Cisco which affect real lives and not serve as a vent for racist frustration of trolls trying to hijack professional and personal concerns of Cisco employees.

The fact that ONE happened is good enough to prove. The fact that for the same candidate with ONLY change in country , stopped the assaults .. shows the data needed to prove how India was, and still is.

@1fpm suffers from the notion that she is the world. Unfortunate if something unpleasant happened to her but that doe snot mean it happens to everyone. My entire family lives in India. My sister is a doctor. During her internship she traveled by public transport in Calcutta at 2 AM in the morning for 4 years in a row. Besides that she had to travel at all ungodly hours of night and day via public transport when she would be on call before she could afford a car. She was never molested. My niece is a PhD student and takes the public transport back and forth to her lab at hours. She has never been never molested. Because it happens to one person does not mean it happens to everyone. And statistically, s-xual assaults (both on male and female) are way higher in the US. Just look at the current news.

I am an Indian female. I have been living here , half my life. I have been behaving the same manner, I behaved in India. I am minding my own business, working hard in a company and travelling on public transport late in the night ( sometimes midnight). I can vouch, that since I have come to USA, I have not had a SINGLE molestation.

You can say what you want. I have my experience. In order to accomplish my day-to-day activities, I dont have to get molested everyday.

USA gives me that stress free life.
