This blog is being flooded by folks from Intel, Apple and former employees, and now by Broadcom folks looking for revenge. That is why a "why wait" is not understood by these barbarians. Q folks, it is time to pack and leave, things will just get worse.

I'll take $70 no risk. For QCOM to get there on their own, they need 1) no royalty changes from Taiwan and South Korea, 2) to close NXP deal and generate cost synergies, 3) win U.S. FTC suit, 4) favorably settle with Apple, 5) hope Samsung, Huawei, Xioami, and Apple do not use their own modem or applications processor and abandon the Qualcomm integrated solution. Highly unlikely QCOM "runs the table" on all the above risks.
Yes, huge mafia count in soc physical design also.
When the time comes to reduce headcount, it does not matter your performance, your career or your achievements. It is all about an unlucky combination of time, team and place, mixing some bias from the disrupted mafias. Don't walk, Run before it is too late.
