Solaris and SPARC are dead in the sense there will be no evolution, S11.3 (or.4 maybe) and M8 will be the end of the road wrt SPARC from Oracle. Could be not the end for some other SPARC providers tough, but that's another story.
But if you are running a Solaris system you may need some support for bugs etc.. so real question is: does Oracle have the necessary people to support customer's need for bugs resolution? Answer is no. Currently the indication from management is that if a bug is not a security one, file and forget. If a bug is a security one with severity <1, file and try to solve in your spare time.
