Why doesn't the Raleigh DC service & deliver nightly to the profitable Advance stores in the Raleigh area? I'm assuming the Roanoke DC (or elsewhere) delivers to those stores because the Raleigh DC serves mainly independents & lower revenue Advance stores. Why are orders & deliveries to high volume Raleigh area stores serviced from VA or elsewhere when the Raleigh DC is minutes away with presumably the same mdse? Overlapping territories makes no sense unless the goal is to split independent/low profit Advance stores from the "good" Advance stores by DC.

Anyone hear anymore about the Roanoke dc closing in 2018?
Sure Raleigh still has shuttles for the must haves & items the VA DC doesn't have in stock, but the Raleigh Advance stores (and others in the Raleigh DC territory) are still getting the bulk of their mdse in the weekly/biweekly shipments from VA. I guess they don't want the Advance stores to get a taste of daily (nightly) delivery so they won't become "spoiled" like the CQ independents (?). Wouldn't they still want to keep the profitable independents which means at least some stores would still get the nightly deliveries from Raleigh?
The whole DC or just the nightly delivery structure? Guess which one is going away in 2018.
