Dear Humana, I'm sure you're watching this web site. Whether through early retirement or laid off, there are MANY of us, that want to be done with Humana NOW !!!! Please let us start our severance package NOW !!!! I'm sure you can work out the legalese and I'll sign it !!! So will many others I have spoke with. What do you gain from us that sound depressed speaking with each other or possibly members. Will productivity increase or decrease? Why humiliate us, by making us work another 60 days. Yes, some want and need the 60 days, but some of us want to be done now. Have mercy.

Idiots! It clearly states that by the end of the week, approximately 1300 associates will have been notified, ie: given their 60 day notice. Meaning in TOTAL 1300 employees have been laid off. All press releases have stated 1300 total employees to be impacted company wide. Humana at Home took their hit last week. This was to address the rumors circulating in the rest of the company. The rest of the company is being notified this week. The email was clear, we are rightfully paranoid.
The email was not very clear, I agree. As usual, clear as MUD!
If it's not 1300 MORE than why, the letter received MONDAY at noon states 1300 MORE by the end of THIS week? I'm personally waiting for the other shoe to drop.
So say they release you early...you don't work those 60 days. Do you get paid those 60 days ON TOP of what your severance would be? So I have been with the company 10 years and should get 20 weeks of severance pay. Will that start after the 60 days is paid out?
You do not forfeit the 60 days or severance. If they release you early, you just don’t have to go to work for the next 60 days.
So if you are asked to leave Humana before the 60 days, can you get a job before Jan 2nd and still receive severance? Or does that void your pay and severance. I know it’s void if you leave on your own doing before Jan 2nd.

Personally I would want my 60 days & my severance to have time to find a decent job! E-mail today indicates 1300 more layoffs by end of this week! This is a MASSACRE at Humana especially Humana at Home. Rumors are that HAH is being dissolved to not profitable! Get out while you can! Meanwhile the CEO pockets over 19 Million $$$$ a Year in Salary & gets bonuses too! Travesty! A company run by THIEVES period that hurt the little guy-their frontline grunt workers! Despicable & they talk in circles etc!
They will let us go early anyway. We will not work til January 2. Be patient! You will ha s the holidays off!!!!

I don't care about the 60 days pay, just start my end date of employment ASAP with the severance to start immediately. I don't expect something for nothing, never have in my life.
Do you want your 60 days of pay? Why would you think any organization would pay you and you not be required to work? In the past associates have been allowed to leave early, which is very gracious. I'm sorry you lost your job, however this is a business.
