No way Hock Tan is going to allow servers to exist with zero foreseeable revenues. RTP custom CPUs have been kicked to the curb by QCT.

He already cut Vulcan (Broadcomm server chip) and their IoT division which “didn’t scale” with their business - too much overhead to sell to small/medium size customers instead of the big kahunas like Apple and Samsung.
Look for more of the same ruthless cutting when Hock comes to town.
