Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Bye bye jackass

Capital one was by far the worst mortgage company I have ever worked for. Ran poorly from the top. Middle management was the definition of favoritism and who was in with the crowd. Definitely not a merit based company. I”m happy to see that Sanjiv finally realized what a turd, no talent, crowd this is. Good riddance.

Sorry, I went on a rant and forgot to say that the favoritism was ridiculous. If you didn't s--- up and brown nose, you didn't get to move up. They "restructured" continuously. It was a joke.

I was part of an acquisition 3 years ago and we went through at least 4 managers. No one stays in the upper management position very long so nothing has the chance to grow. They came in, threw lots of money and empty promises at us, ignored us when we begged for marketing assistance and what we really needed to grow. Once we told them and started the ball rolling, they would leave the company and a new manager would come in and ask us what we needed to grow and it was a continuous cycle. Then "C" comes in and asks us the same thing...and then she decides we need to go. She told us the news and had zero empathy. Almost like she enjoyed it...Then more sectors getting shut down in Small Business. They ran us into the ground and then divestitured the company and we all lost our jobs. There was so much potential that was lost because they couldn't keep anyone around long enough. It's really sad what is happening.
