Thank you so much @8wnw for your reply . This feedback means a lot to me to gauge .
Can anybody provide idea how much should I aim for as in base + bonus + RSU ?
I am in C+host driver with 8yrs + btech only , no GC in Bay area .
Any reply .Will be greatly appreciated
@8wnw, youre kinda low for bay area. Your new offer isnt great either. Keep negotiating atleast 10% more. Makes no sense jumping place for the same package.
Thivery a inportant for me .. please advise .
I am senior engineer 8 yes exp in Qualcomm bay area .. currently evaluating offer 130k + 12% bonus , no RSU , in software engineer 3 at Cisco systems , bay area .
Should I push v.hard for software engineer 15% bonus ? They are negotiating for 3.
How is CISCO vs qualcomm ?
Should I stay back and ask for raise here ?
Currently 125k + bonus +rsu -140k.
Guys please please advise ..
AWESOME compensation guys!
Seems like you are bragging or have some other interest when you posted these numbers.
This is a very good and competitive package.
However, since you have such 0 commitment to the company, perhaps it's best if you would leave; but don't think it would be easy for you to get these benefits somewhere else!
B.S. you did.
I am sr staff.. got 10 percent raise
50k cash bonus and one thousand rsus
Yes, no RSU means they don't see you as a mid or long term asset, it is a red flag in current, turbulent times ahead, good luck
Interesting. I got high bonus 20% 3% raise and no RSU. Maybe I am only but short term also?
Well I’m leaving with the first offer I get. This place is truly miserable. I ha
If this is real compensation and not just made up, then you should be worried about that RSU amount. Your bonus says "very important to the company", while your RSU level says "sort of important to the company".
I recommend go if you can find something better. You need the picture of where you will be 10 year from now. What is the long term value proposition? And must be very honest about circumstances
OP: dont be blind sided by current bonus,. salary etc. Look at long term changes coming in to your way- If you think those changes are in line with what you want to be surrounded with, by all means, stay. Talk to your ex-QCOMMers, talk to your BRCM friends...do your homework.
That is not on this site..
Real deep homework.
Sounds like a good package you hsve, but primarily due to the fluctuating extras. Would be better to increase your base. Shop around.
