does anyone know when the next date for layoffs is coming? Are they waiting for the holidays to get over?

always a cheerleader when your job isn’t and never has been at stake. cashiers and stockers always have a job. those aren’t the higher paid positions to eliminate. i too was a 17 yr associate until i wasn’t.
Fresh standards and floor standards are the focus. Going to be hiring more associates for both departments. Sales aren't down. Stock is higher then it's been for a while. My club Sam's Share is almost super max. Eliminations happen in all jobs. It does s--- and it does hurt at times. But you gotta keep moving and keep working hard. No need to b--ch on a website. I'm a 17yr associate. I've worked in a bunch of clubs. Seen it all...
In 2016 many store closings were announced on or around January 16 and closed by the 26th or 5th of February. Looks like a repeat this year. They want to grab holiday sales before announcing.
The next wave is putting the closed signs on all Sams club doors closed forever. They can’t cut much more, we have no associates now. When members need items to be called up to front their’s no one to bring it. Managers here you calling and do you think they assist in saying I’ll help you. Most of the time the members get it themselves, wonder why we’re loosing sales. Managers are a joke in our club they walk around waiting for their shift to end. They want numbers but do they ever help HELL no. It’s so f---ing easy why don’t they come from behind the office door and HELP.
Lots of buzzing going on! I think everyone is on edge as to who's next to be eliminated.
I personally think they will wait until the 1st of the year. We don't have enough help now. They do need us to help with the Holiday rush. Marketing may be the 1st to go, Salespro is useless.
