The 12,000 is based on all reductions from June 2017 till now and planned reductions for 2018. So, the question is how many layed off from June until Dec 31?
i agree many are in denial. They tell in the numerous all hands that it is not done and if you do the math we still have many more layoffs to come. If you are one of those laid off you probably end up in a better situation. I realize going out on market is hard but i think we all should be doing it.
Now if you're an engineer, well schooled and greatly appreciated with valuable hard won skills and ability, I want you to enjoy the holiday with family and friends and loved ones.

And, I almost forgot, have a Merry Christmas while you're at it headcount.
Yep, but don't expect the ostriches with heads buried firmly in the sand to accept it. They've been in denial since the beginning and even when they're marched out by security they wont get it.
Maybe has something to do with a 6 year car payment and mega mortgage and debt? Probably.
