Thread regarding Sears layoffs

A manager needs to be present when clocking out. WTF???

So we were told today around the rally meeting that we need to bring a manager with us to the designated time clock computer when we clock out.

Before we clock out we are to explain what our customer's objections were to the 5321 MasterCard, PA's, recaps and, get this: once we clock out they want to watch us do the end of shift survey because the store manager thinks we are all hitting "frustrated" just out of spite.

We started doing this yesterday and it took me 20 minutes to wait for a csm, only to be griped at for going over my time, even though the manager's orders during the rally was to wait for an MOD.

Is there an "emoticon" on the survey which shows a head up someone's a-- ? If not, should be.

With crap like this, it's no wonder why most of us hate working at Sears or Kmart.

Someone's head is on the chopping block and this is the best they can come up with.

Sears programs are usually good for about 2 weeks until they disappear into oblivion .

Just post a description of the policy on Pebble and say "What's up with this new Sears policy?" You'll create a sh-- storm and your new local idiotic program will be shut down.

They can't force you to take an optional survey. I had a manager do that when the survey first came out. I called 88sears and she never brought it up again.

Why the hell would they actually care what we enter on the survey? It's not like they gave a damn when we still did those company census things a few years ago. I actually gave some pretty honest answers in the open answer portions, but we're still exactly where everything back then suggested we would be by now, if not a bit worse, so what was the point of all that other than a waste of a few minutes each year?

You have got to be kidding. We are not children and this isn't grade school. Company policy is that you punch in and out at your scheduled times. If he wants explanations from you after you punch out that is considered working off the clock here in California. If the SM doesn't like it I would call 88sears. These guys are desparate and out of control.

Another way for the company to set the employees up for failure
