Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

after x-mas

Nothing is going to happen till after the holidays because they don't want to admit it they need us and at least we're past the sixty days that will take us past

feb 1 so we can still get our sam's share.

Supposedly there is a big meeting for club managers in Jan so we will hear then I'm pretty sure.

Frito starts ASN in January and that will be the start of changes in receiving.

I'm done with this till the new year. I want to enjoy the holidays with my family and so should you

Got news for you not all managers agree with the crap they do. Im one of them. If they was to hear me say anything about a union they would fire me on the spot. I have wondered many times why Sam's associates don't unionize. I hate that the associates get paid so little and they are expected to do so much.

HAHAHAHAHA.....lazy long term associate......wow.....it is the lazy long term associates keeping Sam's afloat my friend ! As a 20 plus year associate I work rings around any and all who have been there less than 3 years. I agree that unions are not what we need. We just need honest and fair treatment and management who is smarter than a bump on a log. Also management needs to quit being big babies and give up the retaliation game. WWAAAAA you said something I don't like ! SNIFF SNIFF , It sounds too much like the truth so now you have extra work to do and your schedule just changed WWAAAAAA. Grow up management and do your jobs !!

Hey!! No fair!! Im one of them lazy long term entitled sams associates you speak of and i can say this. Wal mart sells inferior products. Thats why their return policy is so lenient. Ever buy a steak from walmart. Puke! Garbage! Your so called butchers dont even know how to grind burger! At sams club we cary quality products. Real furniture, not wafer board sh--! But go ahead. Close sams. Walmart will then be nothing more than a big "big lots" oh wait! It already is! And as far as entitlement.. your god damn right i feel entitled! I deserve the right to be entitled when i see new ppl come in making just 5dollars less per hour and doing half what i was expected to do when i did the job.

Well people you would never get enough people together to organize a union. And the unions are what have driven so many companies to close there doors. So go ahead and try, I hope Walmart sells off Sams club it has been a drain on Walmart and not that profitable as it use to be. Probably because of you lazy long term associates who have entitlement issues.

Regardless, if it is a manager commenting or if you think it is a union is commenting, we should unionize. The way it is right now, they are getting rid of us one by one if we stay quiet. Weather it's age discrimination, or if your high salaried because of the years you stayed with the company or if your not part of the "in" crowd. The only people who keep their jobs are the managers and their favorites. Let's say we enter a union and walmart shuts the club, is that so bad ? This way at least the manager and their favorites lose their job too. No one is protected. Why let them just fire us, and management gets to keep their cushy jobs. And on the flip side, if we do unionize and they don't close (less than 1% chance they stay open) then we at least get treated a bit more fairly then right now. So what we have to pay a little for it, at least they stop treating us like sh*t !!! Btw, the people telling us not to unionize are most probably management because they know that their jobs will be at risk too if it happens.

This is also age discrimination because the people being eliminated are mostly up in age.

We have given this company the best of our years, and they are so quick to discard us as if we don't even matter. These hire ups need to physically work at club level and see all the b---s--- we put up with. Make them work in all departments for at least one day and see how they feel about it then.

Have them start in receiving, claims, over night stocker, produce, bakery, deli, cafe, sales floor, front end, and even carts. Let's see how fast they run out of there, these d u m b a-- fools.

You know why people are afraid to talk about unions? Because Walmart literally gets rid of people who do. The meat department at one of the Walmarts managed to unionize. You know what they did? They got rid of the meat departments.

What do they do if a whole store goes for union? Suddenly there's a plumbing problem.

Go ahead an unionize if you want but don't expect it to mean you keep your job. And if you've worked a union job before you should realize that just getting a union doesn't suddenly mean everything will be better.

Most people are afraid to talk about Union. They think keeping quiet will help them stay on the good side, realty is they don’t care. Look at demos, audit, cash office, and all the others to come.

I agree with the push for a Union. Union representation is EXACTLY what this company doesn't want. Union dues are well worth the payoff to keep my long years of tenure. Capped out and no raises would be a thing of the pasted, as well.
