AF missed the point in this sentence: "Indeed, instead of viewing itself as an overwhelmingly dominant player in the server processor market, Intel now apparently views itself as a "30% share player" in a broader market that includes not only server processors but other products such as memory, interconnect fabric, network processors, and silicon photonics technology."

As he points out, Intel may be hiding something in re-defining the market, but a '30% share player' is VERY different from a 90+% MSS player, particularly when it comes to the Feds (and other countries' watchdog groups). As competition mounts, and it most certainly will, look for more subversive tactics to arise again from Intel as it pertains to DCG products. Unfortunately for Intel, this time, there is real competition, and customers who are bigger and stronger and who aren't afraid to tout a platform based on AMD or QCOM.
