Once again this helps Amazon more than Sears. Amazon just uses their site and they charge commission to Sears. The ideal thing would be for Sears to use their own site and actually help the company overall instead of just empowering Amazon.
That is the truth.
I have been in the auto center for 10 years and 95% of my customer base is 45+ years of age. On the random occasion I get the oddball teen or early 20 something in because their parents/grandparents have a Sears card and want to help out their family. The hardest part is then telling them that we can't just enter your credit card details over the phone, we have to do an account lookup. Not much of an issue but still causes confusion on behalf of the customer
wfu- The problem is the older customer are getting older, not driving as much and unfortunately passing away. Sears problem is they have no new generation who trust them or has even been into any of their stores let alone an auto center.

You probably have them shipped to the nearest sears. That’s how discount tire does it on eBay or tire rack I believe. So you should be ok
This pretty much hoses auto services, you come in to get a battery and we up sell you other services like tires repairs ..

It’s a great move for the consumer for sure! It’s just hurts those that work on commission in brick and mortar stores.
I guess in the grand scheme of things who cares right? It just gives another group of people shopping an opportunity to see the DieHard brand. The older consumers can keep coming into the Sears stores and the younger consumers will buy from Amazon. It seems like a good idea to me, but I know those who are negative can "spin" it any way they want to.

Its a few battery chargers that are significantly overpriced compared to comparable items already available on Amazon. Big f---ing deal.

@yhf AND? What is your point? It is a good move...it enables Sears to still have economy of scale still as now the buyers will buy product for both Sears stores as well as to ship to Amazon.
It’s most likely free shipping. I purchased tires online because it was a better deal. Even less incentive for shoppers to come to the stores.
Sears will pay Amazon to sell these programs via Amazon's platform. This is not a deal with Amazon. This is Amazon telling Sears to bend over.
How much will shipping cost? Tires and batteries are very heavy, I can't imagine this being worth it.
