I can tell you all know Whole Foods and you are right. basically you cannot be constrained to the front end anymore as store support means you will be cleaning toilets working at the bar covering housekeeping cleaning up vomit and spills, etc, etc. Make sure they put you $20 hr for this position or else you will quickly see the mess you got yourself into. Better yet, don't take the job unless you are cult material.
Our region got an email saying that the current Demo specialists would be minimally affected by some new program. Still got Demo for the foreseeable future.
A perfect example of why Whole Foods is such a mess.
Why aren't all regions using the same terminology (i.e. Job titles, team names, job descriptions/responsibilities, etc.)?
SoPac has been using "Store Support", instead of Customer Service for months. The SW region is just now getting rid of the concierge and demo positions? Most of the other regions did away with those positions YEARS AGO.
Regions still have not aligned. PBP is still on admin labor in my store and there is no Store Support team.
It’s just renaming customer service. Makes no difference. There is no “admin” as cash up, sss, pbp and receiving fall under store support too though nothing really changed other than name.
Is to encompass cleaning the bathrooms and clearing tables..and basically doing any position as needed..just a guess
Old wine in new bottles.
Our region still calls the team Customer Service. This is the equivalent to CS supervisor.
Front end supervisor... since front end is now called "store support" team.
