Forget the H4s, even the H1Bs visas are now abused by Indian Outsourcing companies.
The H1B law was written in the 1990s, and there was a "expedient processing" clause that said if you pay 60K/yr, then you don't need to get labor dept certification.
The fools in congress, did NOT index that 60K to inflation, so it's still 60K now!
Ask any of the Indian outsourcing company contractors how much they get paid, they'll say 5K/month!
These companies(Infosys, wipro) bill Intel 200K/yr, and pay their people 60K!
If they have 2 job openings, they apply for 10 H1Bs, hoping to game the H1B random drawing, and make 140K/yr off of it per contractor!
Yes, H1B's are now issued by "lottery"!....it's an f'ing joke.
Big companies like Intel, Google etc pay 100K+ for the same job, but they all want the labor certification to process green cards, and Infosys/Wipro do not have any intent of doing that, so they pay just 60K.
And I'm not even mentioning the fact that most of these contractors have so called "engineering" degrees from little shacks that operate as diploma mills!
Does anyone know that 500+ new "engineering colleges" popped up in JUST ONE southern state in India in the past 10-20 years? It' a f'ing joke!
India engineering degree from the top 10-20 schools is still great, but none of those people are the ones working a Infosys or Wipro.
And, in the meantime, the really good US MS/PhD grads who miss out on the H1-B "lottery" get to go back.
Under US law it is illegal to pay any money in the home country beyond the 60K, but these crooked outsourcing companies structure bonuses to get paid later, since even in India the 60K/yr would be enough for a good Sr engineer!
The H1B system is being BADLY gamed by these crooked Indian Outsourcing companies!
Thank you Mr. President Trump. Finally someone who cares about us Americans! The H4 was setup by Obama, via executive order, and was not authorized by Congress.
This is good news. I say this even though I'm the 2nd generation of an immigrant family. It will help the economy and maybe we can avoid or delay the next crash of the usual 7 year cycle.
I really hope this is true and is followed by more similar actions. I want to see the stupid looks on the faces of the Trump voters when not a single unemployed American gets a job because of this.

This is great news as the government is putting Americans first, next is to reduce or cancel majority of work visas.
