This is 100% correct. Practically every corporation is putting out false numbers and has been for years. Folks, we're currently in the last days of this economic system, whether you want to believe it or not, and those who pull the strings from on high are jointly working to hold the ship together as long as possible.
They do this by fake stats, from unemployment to corporate data and even govt numbers.
Why? To convince investors to buy stocks, bonds, send them their money. Not complicated. They need money desperately so they lie, cover up, whatever it takes to keep the wheels on the wagon.
it will end in tears and 2018 is the year. Count on it.
"But how do we even "concentrate on the numbers"? I actually work in finance, and I can't give you a single, relevant number. That's because our IT systems are a joke from the early 1990's that have been patched beyond belief, and as those numbers move from us low level peons up through the ranks of managers, each manager top lines it. So by the time it gets to the CFO and the board, its not even recognizable. And then it gets reported to the street as twelve different versions of the same EPS.
If this were any other company, "concentrate on the numbers" would mean putting out quality products, but at GE, it means fudge and hedge them until they look good enough for those sweet executive bonuses."
