Severence for being RIF'd?

Does Honeywell pay severance when you are part of a RIF, or only when you volunteer?

No severance if they have “cause”. However.... I have heard in some cases the with cause statement applied but they still gave severance. So hang in there if it’s a PIP situation, they may pay due to tears if service.

Does that mean you would get severance for non-vol? What if they cite a made-up reason to let you go that's not part of the RIF?

Yes, you would get severance. Its amount would be related to your years of service. More $$ for more years of service, up to a maximum of 26 weeks pay for 26+ years service under legacy Honeywell. There is also a minimum severance for very short time employees...4 weeks pay I believe but am not certain of that amount.
