Do you feel Sears makes it to Christmas 2018?

I feel that they do, but barely (and with even fewer stores than this year). Kmart will be gone completely, with those stores closed or sold (with MAYBE a few converting to Sears). For the Sears brand, they will still be hanging on, but won't last much past Christmas 2018. However, I could see a SHLD bankruptcy filing early in 2018, which may lead to both Kmart and Sears shutting down next year. When SHLD files bankruptcy, Lampert should make a nice amount of $$ seeing as he is the primary lienholder.

Why would they want to "hang on" any longer when they are losing money at the rate of 500 Million dollars or more PER QUARTER ??

I don't know its very hard to say, but it seems they might want to milk it one last year. Maybe they are going to try to last till the end of 2018 and liquidate 2019. Than who knows maybe they wont make it. I think it depends how deep the debt is and how bad they will do this 4th quarter. I mean lets face it in my store I think were negative 20 percent till last year and around 25 to goal. Being holiday season that is the best time to sell yet its not as good as other years. Also the vendors how many more will stay. Their is a huge pile of debt owed this January can Sears will pay it?

I aint looking forward this next few months I can see payroll being cut to the damn bone. I mean its already bad enough now I can imagine how understaffed the store will look
