Other retailers love Macy’s associates, even the ones the company let go for not meeting standards of employment, attendance, etc. seen a lot of our former people at Dillard’s.

It hasn't been as good since the executives started cutting back on sales associates and expecting the support associates to pick up the extra load on top of their increasing workload! A day in the trenches would enlighten those higher ups what is NEEDED to help the customers!

Happy customers = increased sales = higher profits! No math needed to understand this! Oh, you can save a LOT of money by using this simple formula and not waste it on those analysts!

This reminds me of a huge Boeing 747 spinning out of control at break-neck speed, headed nose first into the ground! As a former Macy's full-time sales associate who came back for Christmas this past season, it saddens me deeply it's come to this. I really love my co-workers and my customers. The self-destruction caused by a group of so-called executives who have no clue is truly horrible. What's very interesting is that I was being recruited while on the job by competitors. It looks like I will be headed in that direction. I've learned a lot working at Macy's, and my skills can never be taken away although my job can. Truly Macy's loss. And a gain for the competition. I wish all of my former co-workers luck in their new pursuits. There is life after Macy's.

I’ve heard the same thing. It is going to be massive cuts all over. The business is not doing good at all. Get that resume together and start looking. This is very serious don’t take it lightly!
