If I mention the possibility of closing everyone in my store gets scared or tells me to stop being negative. We had the surveyors and inspectors at our store plus we are part of the 140 club. At some point people need to smell the roses. Obvi it’s easier said than done and old folks depend on this job. I just hope people are prepared and especially didn’t go crazy during Christmas. It’s all so unpredictable.

Pretty much everyone at my Kmart knows the company is near its end, at least as far as all the Kmarts go. We do our jobs as well as can reasonably be expected, but going above and beyond just hasn't been worth it in a long time. The DM is a total douche, the SM just parrots the DM's outrageous demands despite our store having less than a quarter of the necessary staff, and everything is just piling up. Of the few new associates that we get, most didn't give a crap to begin with and do their jobs terribly, which just makes it harder on the people that know what they're doing, so it's hard to care anymore.
My sears store in michigan is in the 140 club too! Management plays dumb
We already have a closed MACYS at the mall which really hurt our traffic at that end if mall
2018 is going to be scarey.. hold in tight I think everyone is in for a wild ride in 2018
