It just occurred to me that being on this board one day after Christmas is so messed up. I'm here trying to see if something else has happened, if my job is safe or not one freakin' day after Christmas. Can't even relax for more than one day.
Qualcomm has truly changed from what it once was. If nothing else, we used to have job security. Now we have stress and anxiety. Frankly, I think it might be time to move on on my own...
At least they didn't lay you off a month before the holidays like they did in 2015 and then withhold the severance package until January 2016. That was a hard holiday for a lot of us.
Have you considered relocating to India? There seem to be lots of jobs there. Not sure if Americans need a visa to work there. Does anybody know? Other than cobras and bugs seems like a nice place to work and live.

Nobody can guarantee a lifetime job; except maybe if you work for the government ; it is advised to have cash reserves(at for 6 months) and also to look for different opportunities.

There’s no point in worrying. Most people have no control over the outcome. Enjoy the holiday and don’t worry. Jesus tells us not to worry...so why worry? I am excited to see what happens as new great adventures for me have always started with turmoil and uncertainty.
