Engineers in Tyler

So the good engineers in Tyler could still jump ship. Other engineering firms have their sharks circling, waiting to snatch them up. Tyler has cream of the crop Process guys. If they lose those guys Tyler will be in trouble.

That is exactly why CB&I Houston cannot build a plant, everyone is an engineer!

Actually they are all clerks. The vendors do the engineering.

Engineers rarely create anything new. They most often just recreate the wheel. Customers rarely will pay for just another wheel. It is not worth the high cost of keeping scores and scores of inarticulate, OCD autistics to work 2 hours a day to make a wheel. You can take what they did before, throw it into a spreadsheet, and post it to the intranet. BOOM! Everyone's an engineer! And at a fraction of the cost!

Tyler engineering rules! All departments. Most of them have already jumped ship. If you think people are widgets (replaceable parts) you are a fool with an MBA.

Engineers are just easily replaceable parts. Cogs in a machine. Nothing more.
