Is it true that a buyer/specialist in Florida on New Years day, started 3 hours ahead of schedule to do the order for the next day, instead of working on the sales floor, and left past his scheduled time? Plus there were no deliveries on N.Y.Day. Also his BFF is an astl at the same store. So who can you complain to about this- "heaven forbid if I have to work up a sweat at work" ??

The produce quality has been terrible since Amazon took over because instead of getting the first picks, we are now selling the 3rd picks. Look at the avocados we sell now... That is how they are lowering prices. Now the avocados WF sells are the same as you get at any other grocery store. The things that used to set us apart, like top quality items, are no longer a priority. Sadly, we are now becoming just another grocery store.

I like how the team labor budgets got cut all to hell as the prices dropped..our specialty dept used to make serious gainsharing for the holidays..like over 1000$ back in the day..now 0.00$....amazon will tinker with this to keep it at next to nothing til its gone..mackey at least wanted us to make believe we were all part of the glorious capitalist experiment...

The produce quality in the South region has been terrible for over a year. It's coming that way from distribution, which is run by WFM.

I think that a lot of customers are already speaking with their ability to go elsewhere to shop. I have heard guests complain for years that they hate the fact that many times they have to bag their own groceries or there are not enough check out lanes open. Compounding this fact is that there are some slow moving cashiers. They are tired of waiting in line at the coffee bar where 1 person is doing the best they can. They are tired of the tasteless, undercooked or overcooked food at Prepared Foods. They are tired of the fact that WFM is not a one-stop shop for the items that they WANT. They also hate the fact that TM's are not as knowledgable about products as they once were. These are facts that the global and or regional buyers seem to ignore. BUT... let's continue to cut store labor. They should ask Wal-mart how that worked out for them when they saw more complaints and a dip in sales due to long waits, messy and unstocked stores because of labor cuts. BUT... IGNORANCE IS BLISS...

They can get rid of the dead weight that sits in the office all day long. The ones that don't do bag checks. Eating food for sale(stealing) is just "having" a sample. The ones who don't care about-the language of the business, like they think it's okay to treat customers/ employees like dirt.

How big can it be? There aren't enough people in the stores to cover basic functions. At most you could get rid of a couple admin/store support jobs per store.
