Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Some big shake ups coming to SaaS CSMs

Currently the ERP teams do not have enough work to get thru the day. Managing 4-5 accounts each, many of those customers are not even live! ERP CSMs are watching movings, TV shows, etc during the day. Expect a huge shake up and Riffs coming (at all levels) before the end of the calendar year. CR and MH will not let this waste of headcount continue much longer.

"It's not their fault they aren't busy and now you want them to get laid off?"

FWIW, that is supposed to be the real reason to lay people off (they aren't needed) as opposed to maximizing profits.

Of course, some firms will try to find new productive roles for those people, as opposed to showing them the door.

Nice way to throw a group under the bus. It's not their fault they aren't busy and now you want them to get laid off? Why even come here publicly and point that out? You know MH and his people watch this board.

"If folks work remotely/home they will be let go first. Oracle is moving to a Hub like model which requires more than 75% in the office."

Can anyone corroborate this ?

CB is realizing she inherited a mess. SM and his team do not come from a CS mindset. Fusion is new to them and the engineered financial deals. Culture and morale are at all time lows. Pillar Field folks are dropping like files with Strategic not far behind. HUB class of program has experienced high turnover. Customers are burned out on CSM turnovers and the constant surveying every 90 days. CSM org needs a shakeup in the M5 and above. ERP teams need to be downsized. Looking forward to what new leadership will bring, but she will need to act swiftly.

Unfortunately, I see the same situation in many teams in EMEA and APAC, SW and HW. Lot of people just wasting time in the office or at home waiting for someone to tell them what to do. I really don't understand how this situation can possibly continue. I don't have any inside information, but from what I'm seeing, a massive trim down of many organizations inside Oracle must be on its way.

I cannot control the fact I was chosen to be on ERP. It is not my fault or my peers Sales did not deliver. The work is not there and my manager does not have insight into what to do. So we chill until we are given next steps or assigned work or moved to another team. Trust me in that we would rather be working and engaged.

But it's cool! They get nice coffee and free drinks. They get to socialize and go to happy hour early. They stay out all night and party. They show up the next day hungover with very little sleep and feel like crap. Why would they not love this job? It's party time!
