Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Zero Motivation

I thought Monday was bad but each day that goes by, I have less and less motivation and focus. Especially after having a team meeting yesterday in which our coach didn't even bring up the layoff. Businesses as usual- HEDIS and mDAT talk. It was just disheartening to me. I hope they release us early. This is tough and I feel like I'm being dishonest to my members.

To the coach who posted below, were you told who and how employees were chosen? Was it last in first out? Maybe how much we and our families cost the company in medical claims and prescription medications? Can they access our medical claims and let us go based on risk? It could be anything. I think we would feel better if there were a little bit of honesty about how we were chosen for the RIFF. Knowing the rationale might help prevent a lot of the disgruntled and bitter feelings. If someone would simply say to me, "look, you have been a great employee, but on the team you have the lowest seniority, so that is the reason you were chosen" it would help me accept what has happened. After an exhausting year of going above and beyond, this happens. I think we would all appreciate a little clarity

@Qauhqea-4zvl What you stated about RN Coaches was correct. Not the same for others though.

We coaches know as much as you do for the future of HAH. I am truly am not sure the COMs know anymore.

Thank you for letting folks know you coaches didn't choose. There are some very bitter and disgruntled associates who feel the company is just out to get everyone. There are many amazing coaches within HAH and none of you get a fair shake.

As a coach, have you been told the future plans for HAH?

As a coach in HAH I can assure you that we had no knowledge of who was being impacted under us until the evening before when they sent them and us invites to the meeting the next morning.. There was no ammunition being gathered to let anyone go, since we had no idea. We were not given any opportunity to voice our choice of who should go and should stay. We were not involved in these decisions and had no knowledge that these discussions were occurring. Just wanted to set the record straight.

My leader is an amazing lady and not only am I still here, my entire team is as well. Sorry for your experience below poster, I’ve been blessed with a great leader who has always been consistent with her words and actions. Not all leaders can be clumped into a category- just like all employees are not the same. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll find there’s a better life for you after Humana!:) Be blessed!!!

I have had a wonderfully supportive coach. After each layoff we have met as a team and expressed our thoughts and concerns. She is very understanding. I'm still here, as is Most of my team.

Lets you talk freely w/o judgment??? Yeah right. She is gathering info on you and using it to her advantage to figure out who should go. The more you reveal about yourself the more ammo it gives them to leverage against you. I would recommend you say absolutely nothing at all ever again about anything that is not work related-ever again-if you want to keep your job (I didn't catch if you were impacted or not). I shared freely w/my warm and wonderful coach (I thought) all of the issues I have had-hardships with the hurricane, family, etc...and I was let go.

My frontline lead was very supportive in our team meeting on Wednesday and made it a point to ask if we read THs ema.

she allowed us to express how we are feeling and what we can do to keep positive during this hard time. She alway open and honest with us and allowed us to talk freely without judgment.

Looking at some of these responses I’m feeling bless to have her..

My coach was great this time around. Acknowledged the layoffs in meeting and gave us opportunity to share if we wanted to. Felt good to have support instead of silence.

I am an agency FCM.I just can't imagine how hard it would be working in the Humana Offices and what that stress would be like. I'm guessing they may be stringing us along until the end of the year? My agency is saying they know nothing. They are really rapidly pushing people from LTIH to LTIH-2 and tele at a rapid pace. The aspire program is taking people out of LTIH as well. I'm working on my resume and working on a cover letter. It's really hard going out and seeing member's. I am professionally attached to them and it has been a joy to help them with areas big and small. I spend hours on assisting with grant applications or billing issues, go to Dr's visits with them if they aren't communicating their issues with providers. I've been a nurse for a really long time and this has been my favorite job.

newly hired HCM RN here. I am in the same boat with several of y'all. My coach keeps hinting that they are going to let us go but that date keeps getting moved back farther and farther. It is so hard to make calls and be genuine when you know it's likely the last time you'll talk to that member again.

I’m in the same boat and hoping they lay us off soon. Like next week. I can’t focus anymore. I playing the waiting game

HCM RN here.....we had a meeting today with our COM that included all the teams she manages. She did address layoffs and extended warm thoughts to those affected. Apparently, one of her coaches and some HCM RN's we impacted. As far as addressing future layoffs, all she would say is things change, but HAH is not folding. This meeting made me feel more insecure. I am actively searching for other opportunities. Upper management has proven not to be trustworthy!

Our weekly meeting was a joke. No mention of the lay offs either. All we know is our team was affected, but no one has come forward to say there were. We were basically threatened with PIP today if we cannot continue to meet our numbers. We still don’t know what that number is, as our coach has repeatedly told us we do not have a metric in place right now. So go figure. All I know is I am out, have a two interviews scheduled next week. I am not waiting around for the next wave of lay offs to see if I am on the chopping block.
