Hello, I was recently interviewed for a Clinical Advisor position in the Behavioral Health department. Today I was offered the position. Was there any HCM-SS positions eliminated? I’m kind of scared to take this position knowing that I could be laid off next year.

PHC, congats. It's nice to see the system working, of someone impacted being able to transition to another role. Is any job really safe anymore? Take it. Learn more, build your resume. You got a job within a week of being let go. That's awesome. The position starts next week, right? So, you lose severance, but you've got a great opportunity. How many spots are they filling for that role? How many PHCs were impacted by the layoff and how many applied ? Go for it!
Yes , I am a licensed SW and i applied for the position.
I hope HAH don’t close that would be terrible
Hah is not a safe job to take- I’d strongly caution against accepting it. Those jobs were and continue to be eliminated. Estimate is HAH will close in 2018 with the 5 rounds of layoffs the department has faced this year alone
That was a quick process of posting and offer, are you a licensed social worker? Congrats!
If you don’t mind me asking did you apply or did they approach you? I’d say if it’s NOT HAH then jump at it. I would also say, PHCs are in trouble. Finally, it’s got to be higher pay. No brainer. If you stay a PHC, odds are you’re gone.
I’m a PHC with HAH. Thanks guys for the advice !
HCMSSs were layed off and HCMss coaches in HAH. Our technical pay role title says “Clinical Advisor-Behavioral Health”. If the job is in Behavioral Health program then that’s a diff program. Good luck be careful.
Wait. Are you a PHC with Humana OP? Asking about whether or not you should take the SS position?
If you are a PHC and receive another offer, I would go for it. Phc’s futures are iffy at best for 18.
PHC
HCM SS and their bosses were layed off. If you have a job you like I would hold onto it
Congrats! What was your role before? The hcmss department took a this round, unsure how many, but were being restructured with the rest of hah. I think the behavioral health part is commercial and not Medicare, so there may be different factors in play.
