The CSPG execs are still around after $200m in acquisitions (all have been laid off) and $2B on the intercloud strategy. Why they're still around is beyond me. If I wasted a tenth of that, I'd be gone.
Expected. Metacloud or any startup is not going to do well in Cisco world. Cisco is pretty good with large enterprises or SP or where there is good scale so the services can justify the cost. Metacloud is doomed once the hype of private cloud with openstack is over.
It's all cloudy and sh!t
The republicans at the Capitol do. Hence, they passed tax cut to companies and rich people screwing the rest -- the middle class.
Anyone who still believes in Trickle Down Economics needs their head examined. It didn't work for Reagan. Why would it, now? Even in Econ classes at B school... it got trounced.
@3ajy: Totally right. And all the talk about more jobs being created when the $ comes back to the US is nonsence. We've been here before. Trump is reading the Ronald Reagan playbook almost word for word, right down to the "Make America Great Again" line. When companies repatriated money then it went right back to the shareholders. No marked increase in headcount at any of the participating companies.

As long as Cisco still has money parked outside the States, they'll keep buying back shares, and paying dividends. The combination of Regular LR and dividends hopefully still ease up investors concern about growth and viability of the business.
@3iik: Amazing, isn't it? Reality is we are going the way of General Electric - https://www.bostonglobe.com/business/2017/11/13/general-electric-plans-slice-quarterly-dividend-half/AZqYqgb6iL7sZ64VvBPmFO/story.html
Wait till we cut the dividend. That's when the exit doors fly open. It is the next shoe to drop.
Why are the execs still around? They spent over $200m on failed acquisitions yet are still on the payroll.
Metacloud is a failed acquisition from the get go, it took 3 years of bleeding before they did something about it.
