Got an invite for an interview on Monday. And one recruiter is trying to arrange an interview with a very interesting tech company. She was quite confident. I am really psyched about how this is going. It actually feels liberating to have the feeling that I have options outside of Q.

Yes job market is good. I’ve applied to a dozen+ places .... got one no interested email but all others are still pending. I’ll most likely end up in Bay Area or Austin which is fine. Lots of interesting stuff in development in these two areas. San Diego is pretty much dead except for a few startups and pseudo tech incubators

My recruiter friends at many tech companies have been inundated with applications from Qualcomm employees. This is natural so not a surprise. If you feel your job is being eliminated you have a responsibility to the future of your family.
Don't hire any directors or above, these guys don't do any work but pollute companies.
Don’t hire qualcom employees. They have not upgraded their skills, they are lazy but good politicians. They can spoil your companies too.
