For everyone talking about going to Comcast. Don't. I hate it. I was RIF'D back in 2015 when they started this whole Market mess instead of Regions.. I was part of a regional marketing team and given the choice to stay and find something else before 12/31 or take the severance. I chose the severance because I knew I was going to Comcast. Comcast loves Verizon people, but the problem is the whole company structure is, for the nicest term possible, LACKING in every direction. I actually received someone else's hire packet my first day, and after I was hired received an email saying I didn't get the job. Yep- think about that.
You think VZ doesn't care about customers, until you start working here at Comcast. They are just putting in place NPS as a system and its a straight up nightmare. I have watched people hang up on, curse at, and even threaten customers. It's like the Wild, Wild West. You think there are amoral managers and leaders until you start working at Comcast. Benefits are great but expensive as hell. You think it's hard to get promoted at VZ? This is a huge company with very little ways of getting onboarded to any other department because everything attached to you goes according to tenure and rank. And the pay? Sigh... make sure you remember coming from VZ you're in your right to negotiate your salary. They will try to lowball you because so many people are coming from a layoff. If you do decide to come to Comcast- have a plan, and Don't take your first offer. Trust me.
Going to that Mexican Phone Company TACO BELL ....
All the reatil idiots have plenty of choices: Target, Walmart, Buger King etc...
Good luck!
Since I got laid off from VZ I work for the government. I don't do anything, I stay home and have no bosses, no BS performance reviews, and I got my first raise in 7 years from the government after being on their payroll for 6 months. Can't beat that with a stick!
I'm going to pump gas in a new jersey shore town and enjoy an ocean life with lots of beer.
'If you don't build your dream someone will hire you to help build theirs.'
With either of those two choices you need to own your sh--. If you chose to put your neck in the yoke for Verizon then your neck will fit in many other yokes. Corporate share cropping is a vocation not an avocation.
Do you know if Comcast has jobs in Shreveport. They don’t have any open right now but I’d like to know if they sell mobile there.
Comcast. I start on the 27th. Give it a look guys. They REALLY like us VZ guys and gals.
The job market is robust out there. Get out of this horrendous bubble.
The PUC, the EEOC or the audit division of the FCC
I suggest getting out of the wireless industry all together. The market is saturated and theyre all coming down on their employees. Greener pastures in other industries.
TMobile and Sprint
Freelance debt settlement.

I want to be a bus driver.... for real though. I’m done with corporate America.
Burger King.
