Just wondering and is it just a walk through ever isle of the store seeing if everything is clean and up off the floor and nothing stuck in corners ?
Is there a list they go by?
Does the DM come to each store?
Who all is involved?
Just curious what they look for
I think Sears has more things to worry about then some stupid "reindeer run".
@kvj if you are a sears associate you have an email. If you don't know that you have an email then you should ask your manager what is expected from you to prepare for the reindeer run instead of coming on the layoffs and asking just makes you looks foolish.
A higher up was going to come, but plans got changed now its the DM. I don't know whats the point of having a SM my store manager just opens his big mouth, but doesn't do anything to help us get our store in shape.
[1lse edit] To add, my manager had told me what things they'd be looking at for the most part (things the "reindeer run" name might suggest and other seasonal...). Tried hard to make sure the place looked good, but also gave special focus to those particular departments and setups on my floor.
I think ours was this past Thursday. We passed with a pretty good grade. :)

I think this is only Sears stores not Kmart.
Im sorry what the heck do we need a SGM if we have to have the 2 DM and the VP come into the stores to tell us what we did or didn't do, isn't that what the email is for then the stores SGM to make sure its done correctly seems like another HUGE WASTE of payroll in my eyes , again more mis-management in this company WAY TO MANY CHEIFS dipping their hands into the money pot
It was last week and if you check your email you would know when the run is and what they are looking for

Agreed. I heard the transormation doesn't call for a reindeer run. It's not in the budget this year. Won't matter anyway. What's the point. Who's getting cut in February? !?!?!!??!
Unfortunately the were so malnourished from empty Pantry shelves there wasn't much usable.
Due to budget cuts, and as a part of the "transformation", the reindeer were all slaughtered, the venison meat sold, and the proceeds returned to Seritage. Enjoy!
