Does anyone know if they’ll be eliminating the Electric Cart Wrangler position in the Southwest Region. I heard it was eliminated in the other regions, but it’s unclear what the fate is here in Houston. I would cry if there was nobody specialized to fetch those Amigo carts after customers abandon them in the lot after they’ve shopped. This is too important. Why is this world so cruel??

I'm pretty sure they outfitted the Amigos with same AI tech they use in the drones. Also, at my store they let our plastic dispenser replenisher keep her position, they didn't have forks for her for 3 months, another story...regional forked (yeah I said it) up and ordered sporks by mistake, which of course jammed all the utensil dispensers, she's since been on a single sweep walk since last month, no breaks and she's now on final for repeat visits to various samples the last two weeks...
Hysterical... Best thread ever
When my plastic utensil dispenser replenishment position was eliminated, and I was faced with severing or finding a new role in my store, I was devastated, but then I applied for and was awarded the Electric Cart Wrangler position. I don’t think I could go through another role elimination. Why?!?
Listen, forget Whole Foods. That Cush Electric Cart Wrangling position was the height of WFM hubris. Let shift leaders get this Amigos. You should wait for openings for the Loaner Umbrella Keeper program at Publix. It’s really a sweet gig that nobody wants for some reason.
That’s a very good question. My understanding is that the upswing of anandoned Amigos in the parking lots have caused some of the other regions consider bringing that position back. The Florida Region is piloting it as a combined position of Electric Cart Wrangler/Demo Station Breakdown Specialist.
