So very sad.. have only been at GE 8 years... was suppose to be my retirement job...I miss my old guys who called this along time ago.... #smartestguysever

I’ve got 13 years w/GE, went through the down years of GM (left GM for GE before I got layed off). Thought I’d retire here...liked it soooo much more than GM. Great group of peers, very smart, very good at what they do. I was hoping I’d never have to do another forced relocation due to job loss, but it’s a very real possibility again. At least the kids are grown now and in college so that part will be easier. Hope to find out my fate this week. Even if I make it through this one, I’m sure we’ll be going through more layoffs throughout 2018. Staying sounds as bad as getting layed off at this point. That says a lot.
