@3cpj Good post! To insult a brand that is actually a quality brand in today's world....not from the 80's or 90's is just silly. What is all the rage? KBeauty right as Ulta I believe calls it. The Korean beauty products are some of the best out there. There really are some people stuck in a "time warp" here as they need to learn to move on and adapt to the world today.
The Daewoo products sell extremely well here on the west coast. The large Korean population here appreciates the outanding value, quality and customer support that Daewoo brings with their products.
Why some of you wish to insult such an outstanding brand while kneeling at the altar of the failing whirlpool is beyond me.

73025 is a daewoo product. It is the Black Friday fridge for 899.99. If you open the fridge you will see manufacture source code 111, that is daewoo! If your sell it make sure a pa is attached cause I can guarantee they are going to need it

@inal I know you are just being sarcastic as there are some wonderful products made by both Samsung and LG. I can't imagine anyone not understanding that or understanding how powerful both companies are. Samsung is a great company. Look at their financials. Daewoo was a huge conglomerate that was broke up. Daewoo motors did not stop selling cars, they were bought by GM and are now called GM Korea. They are the 3rd largest car maker in Korea. They have a 1/2 dozen plants in the far east. They manufacture the Chevy Sonic, Captiva, Malibu, Orlando, Spark and trax. And the Buick Encore.
Daewoo electronics is a separate company, number 3 in korea after Samsung and LG. They have assets of 252 Billion and employ 276,000 employees. They make all kinds of electronics as well as refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.
The Daewoo Retro Microwave (sold on amazon) has a 72% 5 star rating and a 16% 4 star.

Yea that refrigerator is not made by Daewoo. It is made by LG....very similar to the one I have had over a year and absolutely no problems, and I love it! Why is there any "hating" on Samsung/LG. Every brand has quality recalls from time to time....heck even Honda/Toyota cars have had recalls.

The French door bottom freezer that was the door buster last Black Friday. It's cheap everyone who has bought it has had problems. Also a couple of top freezers are by daewoo, nothing but problems with those too! The manufacturer source code is 111. Open the fridge look at the model number if it starts with 111 it is a Daewoo. We try not not to sell those unless with a pa because they will come back

Or could it be that the cars they made were so bad they took them off the market. It's pure garbage! You buy one let us know how it goes.

In all reality there are only a handful of manufacturers making microwaves under every brand name imaginable. A fancy Kenmore Elite is built by some little known Chinese/Taiwanese outfit.
Like everything else, the days of something like a USA-built Amana Radarange that weighed 100 pounds and lasted longer than it was wanted are over.
I dont understand why everyone thinks it will be bad product. They are sold on Amazon, Frys and Walmart if you do a quick google search.
Ex sevice tech here .we could not fix the off forien refrigerators they developed sealed system issue s we could not fix Alot of replacing of units. Just more junk

The appliance service really went down hill .you have regional managers making 200k plus district managers making 150 k and sevice managers making 90k .they have service centers that don't service any thing .high rent and labor costs what are they thinking ?
Anyone who is dumb enough to give Sears credit at this stage, will have their products on sears shelves. it's that simple. Sears has no intention of paying its regular suppliers and they all know it, so it's time to find new s---ers gullible enough to offer terms.
