Suicide jokes about WT are disgusting. Please do not make them. Someone chose to take their life over Qualcomm years ago and their families are still with out them today. There are also many people with mental illness at Qualcomm so joking about it is not very nice. Please no jokes about the mentally ill ar Qualcomm. Thank you.

Wait for package while looking for a new job. If new job offer comes along before package leave you'll be happy you did. I am very happy with life after QC cause I actually have a life now.
If you feel that you're being screwed, leave, but never leave a job unless you have another one in hand. You won't have the upper hand in getting a better salary.

Do not resign unless you have a new job. This is very wise to do this sequence.
Resign. With upcoming layoffs, you will be on the list very quickly.
