ok. we all know rumors fly about all the time during these times ... people just wanna hear from some real people who know the real ish.....

doesn’t matter to much. this company isn’t what it used to be.. management in my area being very tight lipped and haven’t said a word about RIF....

i’m just gonna watch my clock and wait on it and pray for those who will be saddened and depressed... there’s more to life than this place.. i’m thankful for the time and experience but i’m not questioning it or trying to hang on.. bye!

12,000 is BS. 2 here, 10 there, 5 over there doesn't get you to 12,000. If I didn't read this blog I wouldn't even know there was a rif. Network was hit, but other groups didn't get a scratch.

Around 12,000, employees, 10% enforced across department

VZW Bedminster NOC had about 10 plus employees sent home

here in texas, I heard of 2 assurance engineers getting laid off in the Dallas area. They left my area group of (assurance engineers) alone, surprised me and great news. Best of luck to those let go where ever they are.

Found out today my favorite CE got cut. Verizon definitely lost a great resource. I think I will switch my carrier wherever he lands. FVW!

Just had a buddy tell me he got laid off. RF Engineer, been there almost 16 years.

Going on now. Quality Assurance Field is getting notifications.

The lay off is really happening today at least on wireless side.

Hubby works in tech end & he has seen 2 guys from their market laid off today.

So today is the day! I know it doesn’t help but in Michigan “some” Wireless Employee’s WILL be given their “layoff notice”. Like mentioned above Thursday is typically the magical day so yes I can Verify that Thursday is going to be a bad day for a lot of people at VZW unfortunately. This is NOT “rumor” this is cold deplorable fact.

john legere is not thinking about this sh--..... he might have 99 problems but a RIF ain’t one .... but then again he doesn’t have 99 problems .... we do...

It's hard to gauge these rumors. With the April layoffs, people we're posting specific positions and cut ratios. I haven't seen anything posted about confirmed positions. Not sure if leadership has taken a different approach to keeping everything quite or whether the rumors are false.
