I can't stand hearing people want to get laid off. If you don't wanna work here them quit. There are people who are waiting to get hired that want to work here and need it. I don't wanna get laid off, love it here. Yeah it's not perfect but no job is perfect.
Why would your next job care? If you have "jobs lined up" then go for it. I'm sure they know you're working at VZW now.
